How does Curious Palace work?
Each day you meet 10 new countries. You walk through a place you know well, such as your home, name the things you see, and the app gives each one a picture to remember a country by. Short reviews and a walk-back test help it stick. All 197 countries take about 20 days.
Where is my progress saved?
On your phone, inside the app. It isn't backed up to an account, so deleting the app deletes your palace and progress, and progress doesn't move between devices yet.
I can't hear the country names
Check your volume and, on iPhone, that the silent switch is off. The app uses your phone's built-in voice, so make sure an English voice is installed in your phone's settings.
How do I start again?
Deleting and reinstalling the app gives you a fresh start with an empty palace.
How much does it cost?
The first 3 days (30 countries) are free with no sign-up. After that, Curious Palace Premium unlocks all 197 countries, monthly or yearly. Reviews of the countries you've already learned stay free.
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
Cancel in your Apple or Google account's subscription settings; you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for. On a new phone, tap Restore purchases on the Premium screen to get it back.
How do I delete my data?
Your palace and progress are stored on your phone, so deleting the app removes them. The anonymous answer records we keep aren't linked to you, so they can't be traced back to you or picked out.
